Our Story
Bath Family Law is not your average high street family law firm – we’re the result of one man’s passion to deliver a smarter, more affordable solution to separating families.
Following the breakup of his first marriage in 2011, Peter Guest represented himself through his own divorce, child arrangements and financial settlement. After helping someone pro-bono that he bumped into at the family courts, he realised there was a gap in the market for people that really needed support but couldn’t afford (or didn’t want) to pay conventional legal fees – and he decided to fill it.
The Dorset based Affordable Family Law Group (a Community Interest Company) was founded later that year, and Peter started to see what a difference this modern approach to family law could make. Fuelled by the positive impact, Peter joined forces with partners Lauryn Anderson and Alina Guest to design a revolutionary new service for Somerset and in 2023 Bath Family Law LLP was formed.
