Peter is the founder of Bath Family Law and the driving force behind all that we do. A father of five, he became passionate about helping other people navigate family law after his first marriage broke down in 2011 and he had to secure protection and child arrangements for his own children.
Peter really knows his way around the legal system and works tirelessly to share his knowledge with others. As director of eight companies over the last 40 years, employing over 2,500 staff, he has self-represented through numerous litigious situations under employment and patent law. Choosing not to hire high street lawyers because they didn’t know the backstory as well as him, he found the same was true for family law – and the rest, as they say, is history!
Since acting as a Litigant in Person in the family courts nearly 15 years ago, he’s supported over 2,500 children, attended over 400 hearings and helped thousands of families reach resolution – both in and out of the courtroom.
My lived experience of an abusive relationship, and my own journey through the family law system, has given me an empathy and understanding which no amount of training or money can buy.
