We love sitting down with a coffee and the latest issue of local luxury lifestyle magazine, Bath Life. So when the editor asked Peter to talk to her about how his personal experience of a marriage breakdown helped shape the business, he jumped at the chance.
“Bath Family Law offers a fresh (and much needed) perspective on breaking up,” shares Peter. “Since my own divorce I’ve felt driven to deliver a smarter, more affordable solution for separating families.”
After his first marriage ended, Peter had to secure protection and child arrangements for his own children. Since representing himself in court over a decade ago, he’s helped hundreds of families on their separation journey.
“I was at the family courts one day for my own case and bumped into someone who really needed help,” he continues. “I’d spent a substantial amount of time learning the system, filling out the forms, filing the paperwork – I knew enough by then to help, so I did. I realised there was a gap in the market for people that really needed support but couldn’t afford to pay high street legal fees – and I decided I could fill it.”
