This week the UK government announced major reforms to the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) system in England.
Kelly Lampard, Bath Family Law’s Parent Advocate (and a mother of three neurodiverse children herself) spoke to ITV News West Country about the challenges faced by SEND families.
“It is a massive learning curve,” shared Kelly. “You get these enormous reports that you don’t understand, there’s different acronyms, there’s different routes – and if you don’t know what you’re doing it can be a really hard road to take.”
